Senior Capstone: The Daisy

The Cover was created using a painting I have created and ai to create distortions in the image, I wanted it to be obvious and mildly "off", while embodying a classic magazine cover.

The original painting I augmented for the cover.

For my Senior Capstone, I created a 20-page magazine titled "The Daisy" which explores the evolving role of AI in the design industry. This project served as both a creative endeavor and a personal investigation into the advantages, ethics, and limitations of artificial intelligence in creative work. My goal was to deepen my understanding of AI’s impact while pushing myself to create a comprehensive design and writing project.
To emphasize the conversation around AI-generated content, I wrote half of the articles myself and used ChatGPT to generate the other half. This deliberate split allowed readers to directly compare the tone, depth, and quality of human-written versus AI-generated content. "The Daisy" represents not only a thoughtful exploration of technology’s influence on design, but also a reflection on authorship, creativity, and the future of media.
